About the House

Visit the Payne-Gentry House, Missouri's only restored historic house with a doctor's office. This beautiful, 19th-century home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features many of the actual Payne family possessions.

Tours Available

Special tours arranged by calling 314-739-5599. Please call 48 hours in advance for wheelchair access to the home. Tours are available the following days:

• 1st Sunday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• April to November (excluding holidays)

Fees

• $5 for adults
• $3 for Senior Citizens
• $2 children (4 to 15 years old)
• Children under 4 are free when supervised by an adult

Candlelight Tours of the Payne-Gentry House

The Historical Commission and Society will provide a nostalgic glimpse at Christmas past. The house will feature a Victorian Christmas tree, decorated with antique ornaments and surrounded by toys. Many other collectibles and original furnishings are also on display. Candlelight tours will be given and refreshments will be available.

Upcoming tours will be announced in the 2023 Fall Activity Guide that will be out in August.
