“At the City of Bridgeton, we are keeping up-to-date with the latest information regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus.  We intend to continue following all guidelines from the St. Louis County Health Department, the state of Missouri and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Below you will find information relevant to the City of Bridgeton, as well as links to what is going on in our County and our Country.  I encourage all of our residents to stay informed of this quickly-changing situation.”

The Parks & Recreation department is very excited to have begun safely reopening many of our facilities and programs!  Please open the FAQ link below regarding these reopening guidelines and the restrictions we have implemented per St. Louis County Health recommendations.  The information in this link will be updated frequently as the County guidelines continue to progress.  We look forward to serving you again in the coming weeks!

  • Parks and restrooms are open to the public.
  • Recreation facilities will adhere to an enhance cleaning and disinfecting protocols upon reopening.
  • Berry Hill Golf Course - limited clubhouse use
  • Older Adult Services trips are canceled or postponed until further notice.
  • Senior van service will be reinstated beginning June 1 on a limited basis. Please call 314-687-4484 to make reservations.
  • Aging Ahead closed to congregant participants; staff will conduct business via telephone; participants will have the option to have their meals home-delivered; call 314-739-5572 with questions.
  • Meals on Wheels is ongoing but modified.

Government Center Updates

  • There will be no Community Forum on short-term residential rentals prior to the Council meeting on March 18th; that has been postponed and future dates will be shared as soon as something is scheduled
  • Custodial teams focusing on high-touch surfaces
  • Encouraging staff and visitors to use proper hand washing techniques with signage displayed over sinks
  • Accessible hand sanitizer for staff and visitors
  • Encouraging employees to remain home if they are feeling ill

Bridgeton Police Department Updates

  • The PD is remaining up-to-date on the issue and is prepared to handle emergencies related to COVID-19
  • Business Watch Meeting has been canceled
  • Review the updates from the Division of Health and Senior Services and CDC to better prevent and prepare
  • Officers are sanitizing their vehicles multiple times per day
  • Officers are outfitted with personal protective devices such as gloves, masks, etc. in an effort to limit possible exposure and transmission from others
  • All questions regarding the emergency preparedness of the Bridgeton Police Department should be directed to Chief Hood via email
  • The Bridgeton Police Department is working in conjunction with fire and EMS to ensure the safety and welfare of the citizens of Bridgeton; you all are our first concern and priority.
