Failure to Appear / Warrant / Bond

If you fail to appear for a scheduled court appearance the following may occur:

Failure to Appear Summons

Failure To Appear Summons may be issued with a new court date to appear.  Summons and Show Cause Order will be issued with a court date to appear to show cause why fine and court cost has not been paid.

Drivers License Suspension Notice

Driver’s License Suspension Notice will be issued on moving, non-minor traffic violations with a court date to appear. If you fail to appear for that court date and a warrant is issued. Notice will be sent to the Department of Revenue that you missed your court date and your license will be suspended for failure to appear.  (FACT suspension) If your license has been suspended for Failure to Appear, you will receive a "Notice of Compliance" upon completion of the case. Motion for Judgement of Bond Forfeiture

Motion for Judgement of Bond Forfeiture will be issued if you have a bond posted with the court.  If you fail to appear for the Bond Forfeiture hearing your bond may be forfeited and a warrant issued.

Arrest Warrant

If you fail to appear on any of the above issued court dates a Warrant for your arrest may be issued.  A bond will be set.
