All person(s) entering the facility must pay admission, including non-swimming adults. Please see our current activity guide for all pool rules regarding supervision of children in our aquatic facility.

Private Swim Lessons 

Private Swim lessons are a 30-minute one-on-one instruction available by appointment for all ages and abilities. By appointment only, these classes are held at your convenience. Classes are held as often as requested. Complete a private swim lesson request form at the front desk and you will be contacted by an instructor. Register at any time throughout the year.

Youth Swim Lessons

Beginner Swim Lessons 
Age recommendation 3-5 years
Children will have the help of an instructor to perform all skills. Skills that are covered: blowing  bubbles through mouth and nose, retrieving objects submerged underwater, front and back glides, return to a vertical position, back floats, alternating simultaneous arm action on front and back, combined arm and leg actions on front and back.

Intermediate/Advanced Swim Lessons 
Age recommendation: 5 years and up

Intermediate and advanced skill levels will be combined in this class. At the intermediate level, children will have limited help from the instructor in performing all skills. At the advanced level, children must perform skills with little or no help from an instructor. Intermediate skills that are covered: enter water by jumping in, bobbing, open eyes underwater and retrieve submerged objects, blowing bubbles through nose, front and back floats, roll from front to back, returning to vertical position after front and back floats, combined arm and leg actions on front and back. Children with more advanced swimming abilities may cover some of the following skills: front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and more.

Adult Group Swim Lessons

It's never too late to learn how to swim! This class is designed for adults of all ages and levels whoa re ready to take the plunge and learn how to swim. Adult swim lessons are held at the indoor pool.

Aquatic Fitness Classes


Hydrospin is an aquatic fitness class that incorporates the benefits of spinning with the resistance of the pool. Each class is taught by a certified instructor and uses state-of-the-art Hydrorider bikes made in Italy. We join the handful of facilities in the entire country to offer these types of classes. All participants will need water aerobic shoes to participate in the class. Classes are held at the indoor pool at the Bridgeton Recreation Center.

A total body workout using a variety of quicker-paced exercises in shallow water. This class combines light aerobics with strengthening/flexibility. No swimming ability required. Ages 16+

Deep Water Aquacize:

This no-impact aerobics class combines a variety of toning and conditioning exercises for the ultimate workout! All exercises are done exclusively in the deep end of the pool using aquabelts to keep you afloat; no swimming ability is required. Ages 16+

Cardio and Strength Training Water Aerobics:

Plunge into a safe & effective total-body workout designed for all levels, from beginner to advanced! You'll work up a sweat to music with a mix of traditional aquatic exercise and various choreography programming designed for the pool. All muscle groups will be strengthened & toned utilizing water equipment; and class will finish with a full-body stretch that participants are sure to benefit from!

Splish Splash Parties at the Indoor Pool

Celebrate your special day with a cool pool birthday party! Indoor pool parties are held September-May. Our indoor party package includes reserved pool party room for 3 hours (decorated with balloons and table clothes) and wristbands/admission for up to 25 guests (wristbands are distributed to your swimming and non-swimming guests). You may not exceed 25 total people. Room decorating and clean-up must be included in your 3 hour time frame. You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages; ice is available for purchase. Refrigeration is not available. 

Parties must be reserved at least two weeks in advance, and full payment must accompany reservations. Party time listed on your contract is the time you may arrive; no early entry is allowed. All parties will be scheduled during open swim hours. A $25 security deposit is required in the form of a check or money order at the time of reservation.

Lifeguard Training- NOW HIRING!

Minimum age of 15

Must swim 300 yards continuously using these strokes in the following order: 100 yards front crawl, 100 yards of breaststroke and 100 yards of either front crawl or breaststroke or a combination of both. All 300 yards must be completed using rhythmic breathing with your face in the water and a stabilizing, propellant kick.

Must swim 20 yards using a front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a minimum depth of 9 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. object, return to the surface, and swim back to the starting point with the object within one minute and forty seconds. While returning to the starting point, you must hold the 10lb object with both hands and keep your face above the water.

Skills testing will be held on the first day of class.

Successfully completing this course does not guarantee employment, but is a critical step in becoming employed as a lifeguard at many area pools.
