EPA Screening Completed

Post Date:05/27/2014
The Administration is very pleased to announce the EPA has completed the radiation screening of the Bridgeton Municipal Complex (BMAC). Data was collected from 60,000 points of transecting lines of the entire complex and over 100 soil samples were taken for testing of thorium, radium and uranium.

In addition, the EPA used coordinates provided by those citizens who took samples several weeks ago to take samples for testing. The EPA maintains the position BMAC remains suitable for use, as stated in the attached release. The Administration remains confident the testing provided by the EPA will be thorough and transparent and appreciate their efforts in the protection and safety of this community.
