BRIDGETON SENIORITY The Seniority, Bridgeton's Senior Citizen Newsletter, is mailed monthly to Bridgeton residents age 60 and over. It provides information on services, activities, and opportunities. Check the Seniority for details on upcoming programs. To obtain the Seniority call the community center.
LET'S GO OUT TO DINNER Once a month we offer you the opportunity to sample some local fare at various area restaurants. Singles only! Transportation will be provided from the Community Center for a small fee. Details are provided each month in the Seniority. Registration is limited.
MEALS ON WHEELS Home delivered meals are available to homebound Bridgeton residents. Home evaluations, information, and referral services are available by calling the community center. Cost per meal is $3.50 but sliding scale is available for qualifying individuals.
TRANSPORTATION Free van transportation is available to Bridgeton residents age 60 and over or receiving Social Security Disability for area medical appointments, grocery shopping and Community Center activities. The van is equipped with a lift for those persons using wheelchairs. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance and can be made by calling the Community Center between 8:30-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
MULTI-PURPOSE SENIOR CENTER A Multi-purpose Senior Center is located on the lower level of the Bridgeton Community Center providing a hot noon meal to area residents age 60 and over or receiving Social Security Disability. The center is operated by the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30-2 p.m. Reservations for lunch are REQUIRED at least 24 hours in advance and can be made by calling 739-5572.
