Parks and Recreation I.D. Card Requirements
Parks and recreation department identification cards are available at the Community Center. To obtain your card you must be a resident of the City of Bridgeton and present a valid I.D. (Missouri driver's license or last years parks and recreation I.D. card) and one of the following: current, unpaid utility bill or personal property tax receipt bearing your name and Bridgeton address. For new residents, a Bridgeton Occupancy Permit will be accepted in lieu of these utility bills. A parent with proper proof of residency to obtain their cards must accompany children, 15 and younger without photo ID. If you do not have the required proof of residency, please contact a departmental supervisor to arrange for alternative methods of identification. Senior citizens 60 years of age and older will receive their I.D. card free of charge with proper proof of residency. Cost for residents 6 years and older is $5. There is a fee of $7.50 charge for replacement card.

Program Enrollment Information

How to Register
Register in person at the Community Center during normal operating hours, by phone with a Visa or Mastercard, or mail your payment and the registration form to 4201 Fee Fee Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044. All residents will need to include their current Bridgeton ID number in order to receive resident rates.

When to Register
Resident registration begins immediately and will be taken until four days prior to the first class meeting. Non-residents may register two weeks in advance of the first class meeting. The department reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program due to insufficient enrollment or other valid reason. Patrons are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Refunds
Requests for refunds must be submitted prior to the start of the second class meeting. For one-day programs, requests for refunds must be made at least four days in advance.

Prorated fees
If a new participant wishes to enroll after the starting date, a pro-rated fee will be offered at the discretion of the program's supervisor. This offer is only valid for enrollment taken beyond two weeks of the starting date.

Audio Cassettes Available
The Bridgeton Parks and Recreation Department will make available copies of the Parks newsletter on audiocassette tape to individuals with visual impairments, learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities. To request this service, please contact the Community Center.

Volunteers Needed to Assist People With Disabilities
Volunteers are needed to assist people with disabilities in our recreation programs. For example, swimmers using wheelchairs may need assistance in the pool. Each volunteer is trained by our staff prior to volunteering on their own. Contact Chris Ramsey, Inclusion Coordinator, at 839-5575 to volunteer.

Americans With Disabilities Act
Parks and recreation programs and facilities are available for people of all abilities. The City of Bridgeton is currently working to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please let us know if there is any accommodation that would make a program or activity accessible for you or your family. If special accommodations are needed in order to participate in a program, participants need to notify our inclusion coordinator, Chris Ramsey, 48 hours prior to the start of the program at 314/839-5575.

Gift Certificates Available
Are you looking for that special gift for someone that already has everything? You may call the community center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to arrange for a gift certificate of any denomination to be prepared. Then, the certificate will be ready to be picked up at the front desk during any of the community center's normal operating hours.

Codes of Conduct
The City of Bridgeton reserves the right to revoke participation privileges without refund for anyone not complying with, but not limited to, the following rules of conduct:
The department does not allow anyone to:
1. endanger the safety of others
2. use profanity in any verbal or gesture form
3. engage in any fighting
4. smoke in a facility or within 20 feet of the entrance
5. be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
6. misuse or abuse the equipment or facility

Photo Policy
The Bridgeton Parks and Recreation department will occasionally take photographs of people participating in recreation programs or using the facilities. These photos may be used for the department's publications, brochures, and flyers. All photos become the sole property of the department.

Accident Policy
The Bridgeton Parks and Recreation Department does not provide insurance coverage for injuries suffered while participating in programs or using facilities. We, therefore, urge you to contact your personal medical insurance carrier in the event of an accident.
